Beat The Flu With No Shot!!! Just Use Oatmeal!!!

Why do more people every year get stricken with the flu? The flu seems to be worse every year despite more prescriptions being written than ever before in history. Could there be a connection? Yes, there is a very real connection.

Our bodies naturally produce antibodies that protect us to some extent from germs, bacteria and viruses. But when our bodies do not get the correct nutrition they cannot create and maintain effective numbers of antibodies to protect us effectively. Eating sensible nutritious foods like oatmeal, instead of junk food, everyday is a great way to help increase our bodies’ ability to create antibodies and protect us from the flu and colds that billions of people suffer from every year.

Traditionally a breakfast food, oatmeal is a great way to start the day. Especially in the winter when it is cold out and a hot breakfast serves to warm us right up. Oatmeal contains a very valuable form of fiber that most food, especially junk food and fast food, simply do not provide to our bodies.

Why is this type of fiber so damn important and what type of fiber is it?
Oatmeal is overflowing not only with bunches and bunches of oats but also with soluble fiber. This soluble fiber is why oatmeal has been clinically proven to provide the following benefits when ingested:

It reduces bad cholesterol, while not affecting the good cholesterol.

Diabetics with type two diabetes are being encouraged, if not outright prescribed to eat oatmeal to help control their diabetes.

Oatmeal is a great for improving digestion. The time it takes for oatmeal to travel though the digestive tract is longer than for most foods. Since it stays longer in the digestive tract than other foods it lets you feel fuller longer. The slow digestibility of oatmeal is a side effect of the fermentation that oatmeal undergoes after ingestion.

The fermenting oatmeal releases a vast surplus of vitamins and nutrients essential for our health. These same vitamins and nutrients enable our bodies to build up the natural immunities that most of us do not have enough of, for our bodies to successfully fight off colds and flu.

Billions of people around the world die each year from heart disease and related ailments. These deaths strike everywhere in the world. People of every nationality are at risk for heart disease. Oatmeal when added to a healthy lifestyle improves the cardiovascular system, the heart and related organs. A healthier cardiovascular system improves blood flow. This improved blood flow carries all those antibodies throughout the body. The antibodies must travel everywhere in our system in sufficient numbers to protect us from the flu and or colds we dread every year.

My grandmother and my mother insisted that a hot breakfast of oatmeal would fortify me for the long cold walk to school, as an adult I now realize the walk was not all that long. My response was that if I did not have to walk to school I would not need the hot oatmeal. This was the reason for that extra dash of apples and cinnamon that could transform my bland dreary morning into a brighter happier one. In fact I think I will go fortify my self with some oatmeal topped with raisin and cinnamon, I am out of apples, care to join me?
